Home sick

Dave left for 2 weeks in Denver yesterday. Of course, my cold that I've been nurturing for a couple of weeks now promptly turned into "walking" pneumonia. Luckily my mother-in-law is a saint and has been helping me with Charlie, because I can barely take care of myself let alone a 2-year old. :o)

But that does leave time for photos when the medicine kicks in for a couple of hours. Thankfully my doctor gave me some good drugs this morning so that hopefully I can stop hacking my head off. And here is the waggy dog at 6.5 months old...just because.



I was also happy to hear that her litter sister did even better on her first weekend out than Lizzie did...taking home a 3-point major. Maybe I can badger Dixie into sending pictures. :o) I was also thrilled to see that Mirrhi snagged the major the next day! After oddly getting dumped the day before...ah the fickleness of judging.

For anyone who may not have heard, Lizzie won reserve to 2 five-point majors this weekend at her first shows. I was pretty happy with that! No points, but she still beat an awful lot of dogs. I think once she settles into the whole "show thing" she'll do better. And grows some coat.

I was getting a lot of this look in the ring, like, "What is going on? Why do I have to be here?". She wasn't thrilled with the whole process honestly, although she was happy as a clam OUTSIDE the ring. Just didn't have a good time inside the ring, so we'll have to work on that.


I had a photo taken yesterday too, but this is the only one I captured on my camera. I hope yesterday's picture is better than this one, mental note: she does not fit on the table with a sign.
